MICHAEL CHIESA WANTS ALL OF CONOR MCGREGOR’S UFC 229 EARNINGS

Michael Chiesa’s Lawsuit Against Conor McGregor Revealed

The UFC 223 bus incident isn’t in the rear-view mirror just yet for Conor McGregor. The Irish celebrity was sued by Michael Chiesa after he had been hurt in the dolly-throwing episode back at UFC 223, and we have details of the lawsuit. TMZ has been the first to examine the particulars of the litigation in a movie that you are able to watch at the conclusion of the report.
As stated by the TMZ report, Chiesa is claiming that the UFC 223 dolly incident was a publicity stunt on the part of McGregor, and Chiesa wants all of McGregor’s profits from his mega fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC 229. According to the lawsuit, the”Son of Sam” law in New York applies to the episode, where someone convicted of a crime can not utilize that offense to profit. According to the lawsuit, Chiesa considers McGregor profited in the UFC 223 incident, partly because it drew more attention to the card, and because the UFC used footage of the bus attack to market the McGregor vs. Nurmagomedov struggle at UFC 229. Keep in mind the UFC 229 pay-per-view has been the largest selling PPV that the UFC has done, therefore McGregor made countless dollars for that fight, and Chiesa needs a piece of this pie.
Will Chiesa’s suit be successful? Who knows at this point, and it’s possible this is finally settled out of court. But clearly Chiesa was granted legal advice to take this as much as he could go and he will try and make some money from it, and it is hard to blame him believing he was legitimately hurt in the bus attack. Thus far, fans and media have laughed off Chiesa’s lawsuit. But everybody should recall Chiesa received facial cuts at the bus attack that forced him off the card. He fought UFC 226 and lost by submssion to Anthony Pettis, and he should feel like he got the raw end of the deal. Chiesa is next scheduled to confront Carlos Condit at the year-end UFC 232 card, but using this lawsuit in mind you need to wonder whether it will change him.
As for McGregor, he’s still dealing with the Nevada Athletic Commission in regards to this UFC 229 incident where Nurmagomedov jumped over the fence. It’s been rumored McGregor plans to fight in MMA again in 2019, but until we see what kind of sanction he will get for UFC 229 it’s difficult to say precisely when he’ll compete , and against who. The bus attack obviously did not hurt McGregor’s stock as far as it hurt a number of the other fighters daily, including Rose Namajunas, that says the bus attack emotionally scarred her and who hasn’t fought since UFC 223. While McGregor has left countless since then, other fighters that afternoon such as Ray Borg were severely affected by the episode, and it’s hard to blame those who were injured from the attack to attempt to sue McGregor and see what happens in the courts.

MATCHES TO MAKE FOLLOWING UFC FIGHT NIGHT 111

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was back in Singapore for the second time in promotional history last Saturday (June 17, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 111: Holm vs. Correia. It was an entertaining night of bits which saw six of 12 bouts ending inside the space, and with this action today in our rear perspective, let’s look at some possible matchups featuring some of the competitors from the evening…
Bethe Correia vs. Liz Carmouche
Correia endured a third-round knockout against Holly Holm this past weekend and will be looking to return to the win column her next time out. I think that a matchup which is logical for her next excursion within the Octagon will be one against fellow former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Liz Carmouche. It would be quite a rare”winner versus failure” matchup from the division, but it is a pairing I believe makes a great deal of sense. I believe this prospective women’s 135-pound competition are a good match for the primary card to October’s UFC Fight Night in Brazil.
Colby Covington vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Covington and Dos Anjos were each successful in their principal card charms at UFC Fight Night 111, with Covington taking a unanimous-decision win over Dong Hyun Kim and dos Anjos making a unanimous nod against former Strikeforce welterweight champion Tarec Saffiedine. It was a solid welterweight introduction for dos Anjos, also that I think Covington would be a fantastic competitor for his next outing, as the two of them are seeking to break into the Top 15 in 170 pounds. This possible welterweight contest would be a nice match for the card to the UFC 215 in Seattle of August.
“Stun Gun” Dong Hyun Kim vs. Alan Jouban
This welterweight showdown that is potential has of producing fireworks that are great potential. It could also prove to be a lackluster struggle if Kim uses a grappling-heavy game plan and finds success with it. I’m not sure he will though, as I could see Jouban keeping the fight position. Jouban did show improved takedown defense in his final outing against Gunnar Nelson despite losing via second-round guillotine-choke submission after being dropped with a punch to the forehead. Kim is coming off a unanimous-decision reduction to Covington, also like Jouban, he’ll want to bounce back into the win column his second time out. I think this fight would be a good match for the UFC Fight Night in Japan of September.
